Kim is a professional mental health therapist who received her bachelor's degree in 2000 from Kentucky Christian University, where she majored in counseling psychology, Bible, and Christian ministry. She went on to complete a master's degree in Social Work through the University of Kentucky in 2006. Kim has worked for many years with children in both faith based youth ministry and in clinical therapy settings.
Through years of interaction with children in a variety of settings, Kim has gained insight and skills that allow her to provide specialized care to children who are suffering anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, adjustment difficulties, social difficulties, and other behavioral and emotional concerns. Kim offers each child respect, compassion, and unconditional positive regard which creates a safe place for children to explore their struggles and work toward changes that will restore spiritual and emotional wellness.
With a husband of nearly 20 years, and three children of her own, Kim has a special heart for children and their families. Kim enjoys decorating, flower gardening, serving in children's ministries, and family time. Kim loves serene, secluded mountain settings and any opportunity to enjoy live bluegrass music. She would love to someday see Ricky Skaggs play the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee.
